Emoni was born and raised in Savannah, Ga. She always dreamed of becoming an Ob/Gyn so she moved to Atlanta where she obtained her Bachelors degree in Biology. During her matriculation she came to learn more about herself as a women and a future healthcare professional and realized there was something missing from her vision. She shifted her focus and realized what she really was passionate about was the Midwifery Model of Care. Venturing to a non-clinical side of birthing assistance first, Emoni became a trained labor and postpartum doula. She felt this would allow for her to gain more knowledge on how to truly comfort and address the various needs of moms before, during and after birth. She knew she would begin to make an impact on the community but didn’t realize how soon until becoming a team member of the Atlanta Birth Center. Emoni enjoys how every day at ABC brings something new and a new chance to make a change. Aside from spending time with family and friends she enjoys gaining more insight on the holistic side of maternal healthcare.
