Midwife

Crystal is a midwife of 18 years and was one of Atlanta Birth Center’s first practicing midwives. She is passionate about midwifing natural labor and creating a space for babies to be received gently and with support. A graduate of Emory University, she has called Atlanta home for many years, but not without the many travels and adventures she is known to be taking. She’s also worked as a midwife in TN, Malawi and South Sudan. Locally, she has spent the past mo few years attending homebirth and focusing on the integration of a naturopathic model into midwifery and women’s health. She’s most recently studied with the Institute for Functional Medicine and the School of Embodied Arts, as she believes midwifery care is enhanced by the ability to offer a whole-person approach through the reproductive years and beyond.

Her hobbies include gardening, making pottery and hiking with her dog Max.  She recently upgraded from a pop-up camper to an Airstream and is ready to explore more of the US when she is on breaks from delivering babies.
